Canonical supports OpenStack Days Nordic as a partner

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu becomes another strong partner for OpenStack Days Nordic in Stockholm on September 22. Canonical representing Ubuntu is a Platinum Member of the OpenStack Foundation board and has since 2011, included the latest version of OpenStack in every Ubuntu release. Also made every OpenStack release available for recent long-term support Ubuntu release (LTS) in their unique Cloud Archive.

Why did you decide to become a partner to the OpenStack Days Nordic?

Canonical is the company behind Ubuntu which powers over 60% of OpenStack clouds. With key customers in the Nordics such as Ericsson and Tele2 using our OpenStack technologies, we very much to help support the promotion and adoption of OpenStack

What do you hope to get from the event?

We want to help broaden the understanding of how users in the Nordics can take advantage of Ubuntu OpenStack to deliver value to their business.

What are your thoughts on the Nordic OpenStack community?

Our experience is that the Nordic OpenStack community is innovative and forward looking. Whilst large adoption is still developing, Nordic telco technology companies are helping lead the field in the deployment of OpenStack for usr cases such as NFV

How are you involved in OpenStack?

Canonical was one of the founding members of the OpenStack community and has been providing an OpenStack distribution for 5 years. We are still a Platinum member of the Foundation and continue to lead many areas of innovation.

How are you using OpenStack?

Canonical runs OpenStack as a managed service for many customers such as Tele2 as well as supporting a great many end users who use our OpenStack distribution or operating system for their cloud. In addition we also run many key services on OpenStack such as
