Özgür Bal Event Leave a Comment

We’re getting closer and closer to the big day and today we thought we’d give you a rundown of all of the things that you can do at OpenStack Days Nordic in Stockholm 9-10 October. Don’t have a ticket yet? Make sure to get one soon.

Get training

The entire first day of the event is dedicated to training. Our fantastic tutors will guide you through a total of 8 half-day training sessions and labs. The program is available right here: http://stockholm.openstacknordic.org/program. To get access to this day you need the Full Access Pass. If you already have a ticket you can start building your personal event schedule and reserve your seat right away. Just visit https://openstackdaysnordic2018a.sched.com and create an account.

Use cases and insights from the OpenStack Foundation

On the second day of the event, the Main Event, we kick things off with our Keynote speakers. They are large OpenStack users and members of the OpenStack Foundation who are there to share their stories and give some insights and thoughts about the future of OpenStack.

For instance, the CIO of one of Swedens largest banks, SBAB, will share success factors and failures of their journey being a fast moving digital company. He will also detail how Implementing an Open Stack solution has been a major factor in giving SBABs development division the opportunity to deliver value with the speed, flexibility and control they want.

Meet with vendors, developers, supporters and users of OpenStack

The Marketplace is home to our fantastic sponsors and this is where you will have the chance to meet with the Nordic OpenStack community between sessions. Our sponsors include SUSE, Mellanox, Exertis Hammer, Canonical, Avi Networks, Objectif Libre, Binero and South Pole. As usual we have our media partner Nordic Frames with us to record the sessions.

The tracks

The breakout sessions during the afternoon of the Main Event are divided into 3 tracks. Knowledge & Awareness, Operations & Administration, Development & Contribution. We have done our very best to make sure that there is quality content suitable for everyone. Check out the entire event program here: http://stockholm.openstacknordic.org/program
If you have a ticket you can also start planning your Main Event experience and start adding your favourite presentations to your personal schedule.

Ask the Technical Committee

The OpenStack Technical Committee provides technical leadership for OpenStack as a whole. Responsibilities include enforcing OpenStack ideals (such as Openness, Transparency, Commonality, Integration and Quality), deciding on issues that impact multiple programs, providing an ultimate appeals board for technical decisions and general oversight.
Muhammed Naser from the Technical Committee will be available in the marketplace to answer any questions you might have about OpenStack.

Win an OpenStack Summit pass

The past years we have been able to host a small competition to elect a winner of an OpenStack Summit Pass and this year is no exception. You will find the golf course in the marketplace.

Find jobs, projects and collaborations

We want to do our outmost to be true enablers of community and collaboration. A new take on this is our OSDN Collaboration Board which will be available in the marketplace. This is YOUR board to use as you wish, wether you’re looking for collaborations, jobs, new colleagues, project ideas or just about anything else.
